Hide And Seek Cookies
A double texture in one cookie: a crumbly shortbread ideal for dunking with a chocolate filling that makes it crunchy and mouthwatering, just like the Hide And Seek Cookies
Ingredients :
- 400g flour 00
- 170g starch
- 250g sugar
- 1 egg
- 130ml milk
- 180g butter
- 20g bitter cocoa powder
- 20g dark chocolate
- 1 packet baking powder

Hide And Seek Cookies Procedure :
1- in a bowl we work with a whisk the softened butter together with the sugar to obtain a cream
2- we add the egg and milk a little at a time and mix well
3- add the sifted flour, starch and baking powder a little at a time and when the dough starts to become firmer, transfer it to a pastry board and knead it with our hands until it is smooth and not sticky
4- let's cover it with plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 40'
5- let's take 1/3 of the dough and add the cocoa powder and chopped dark chocolate and knead everything with our hands so that it is colored
6- we create strands with the cocoa shortbread of about 1 cm and roll out the white shortbread with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5 mm
7- we make rectangles with the white shortbread and place in the longest side a cocoa strand, roll it over the white shortbread and seal well
8- let's do this for the other filoncini as well, obtaining 3 long snakes that we will go and put in the fridge for 30'
9- let's take them back from the fridge and cut them every 5 cm to get our cookies and then with the tines of a fork we press on top to make streaks
10- let's place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180° for about 18' minutes
