ORANGE PLUMCAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 250g flour 00
- 4 eggs
- 180g sugar
- 100ml seed oil
- 60ml orange juice
- 1 orange peel
- 1 sachet baking powder
For the syrup:
- 120ml orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 50g sugar
PROCEDURE:
1- in a bowl we whip, with electric whips, the eggs together with the sugar and grated orange zest until the mixture is light and frothy
2- we pour in first the oil and then the juice of the squeezed and strained oranges and mix
3- we incorporate the flour a little at a time and finally add the sachet of baking powder and mix all the ingredients with the whips
4- we pour the mixture into a plumcake mold (25x11 cm) greased and floured
5- We bake in a preheated oven at 180° for 45' . We always do the toothpick test before taking it out of the oven
6- once cooked let it cool, remove it from the mold and place it on a plate
7- Let's prepare the syrup by heating the filtered orange juice, honey and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. We stir quickly until the consistency is neither too runny nor too caramelized.
8- we drizzle the surface with the newly prepared syrup, distributing it well even on the edges and sides
9- we decorate as desired with orange slices or zests
Enjoy your cake.
Orange Plumcake is a breakfast dessert with a truly delicious citrusy scent. Quick and easy to prepare and thanks to the orange syrup on the surface, it keeps soft for several days.
Orange Plumcake is a fragrant and fluffy cake, ideal for breakfast for the whole family. Today along with the orange plumcake recipe, which I frosted to spruce up in celebration, I also want to update you on the wedding and home situation :)
With the wedding I am almost done with everything, yesterday I gave the first invitations and between today and tomorrow I am going to choose the flowers (few, only on the altar and outside at the palace) and the bouquet.
On April 28 I give word at the church and city hall and now I am really excited :°)
But the most beautiful thing is that my house is starting to take shape: yesterday the workers finished the bathroom, in the house is the painter, on Saturday they put in my fixtures and yesterday I ordered the first part of the furniture... kitchen and bedroom.
What can I say girls, I am in the midst of economic bloodletting, but I am overjoyed! Also just yesterday I realized that my wedding is a little over two months away--I'm not looking forward to it!
